An artist can be anyone who creates a work of art. This includes actors, animators, architects, artisans, authors, cabinetmakers, calligraphers, cartoonists, ceramists, choreographers, cinematographers, composers, conceptual artists, dancers, designers, digital artists, photographers, playwrights, poets, printmakers, puppeteers, sculptors, short story writers, singers, songwriters, sound artists, textile artists, video artists, weavers, web artists, and others.

Many artists play an initiating role in cultural change. You discover new meaning through your life experience and reflect this in your art. Observation, listening, imagining, theorizing, empathizing experiencing: this is what you do 24 hours a day, 365 days a year- the stuff of your everyday life.
