A member of the public, in this instance, is someone who enjoys and appreciates art. You like watching TV, going to a performance, a gallery, a museum or a movie. You buy books, music, fashion, design etc.

Your expression of appreciation, through participation or purchase, encourages patrons to keep supporting and the artists to keep on creating. The greater the number or impact of the works of art they create, the more those works will become a movement of change.
